He was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Jane Benfield of Sandford St Martin He is buried in grave Church S 5 3 Ford Park Cemetery, Pennycomequick which was formerly called Plymouth Old Cemetery Additional information HMS Impregnable was a Training Establishment previously known as HMS Howe Walter John BENFIELD Private, 8th Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales’s (Royal Berkshire Regiment). Army no. 13207 He died from natural causes on 6 June 1918. He was 26. He was the son of Charles and Elizabeth J Benfield of Sandford St Martin He is buried in grave Q II L 7 St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen William Edwin COX Gunner, C Battery, 77th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Army no. 156389. He was formerly with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Army no. S/E/3917 He was killed in action on 28 March 1918 in the fighting on the Somme. He was 21. He was the son of William Thomas and Eliza Cox, The Buildings, Sandford St Martin He is buried in grave F 20 Hedauville Communal Cemetery Extension Fred James COX Private, 5th Battalion, The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, 42 Brigade, 14th Division. Army no. 17800 He was killed in action on 25 September 1915 during the second attack on Bellewaarde. He was 27. He was the son of Alfred and Sarah A Cox of Nether Worton and the husband of Gertrude M Cox He is remembered on panel 37 and 39 of the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres William Henry WARR Private, 37th Battalion, Training Reserve Army no. 8/17671 He died from natural causes on 24 April 1917.
