The Hospital
Today it is called the Rutland Memorial Hospital and it remains a much appreciated service to the community. It is interesting to see that when it was being built it was: The Rutland Memorial Cottage Hospital when it was opened it had become: The Rutland County Hospital. There does not appear to be an on-site record of the men in whose memory it was dedicated but for once the dedication refers to " the terrible years of war" |
