Private, 11th (Service) Battalion, The Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 112 Brigade, 37th Division.  Army no 18421. He was formerly Army no 23812 with the Somerset Light Infantry
He died on 13 August 1916 from the wounds fighting on the Somme. He was 36.
He is remembered on pier and face 9A, 9B and 10B of the Thiepval Memorial

He was the son of Hugh and Isabell Cawley of Hornton

Horace Richard DENTON 
Private, 6th Battalion, Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry Army no 11884 attached to 60th Trench Mortar Battery. 
He was killed in action near Ypres on 14 April 1916. He was 19
He is buried in grave I G 6 Bard Cottage Cemetery

He was killed in action on the battlefields of the Somme on 21 March 1918. He was 33
He is remembered on panel 6 of the Pozières Memorial

He was the husband of Ellen Freeman of living in Balscote in the 1911 census
His name is properly Emmanuel

Clarence Bert GILKES
Private, 5th Battalion, The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, 42 Brigade, 14th Division. Army no 23101
He was killed in action between Gheluvelt and Polygon Wood in the Battle of Passchendaele on 16 October 1917. He was 20.
He is remembered on panel 96-98 of The Tyne Cot Memorial.
