It was the 'workhorse' of the Division in terms of carrying stores and supplies, providing the main supply line. He was the son of Edward Frank and Beatrice Randall of Bucknell He is buried in grave 18 E 14 Rheinberg War Cemetery Additional Information His aircraft Lancaster LL965 KM-V of 44 Squadron took off at 20.44 hours from RAF Dunholme Lodge on a mission to Dormstadt. It crashed at 23.30 hours near Roxheim which is a small town 13 kilometres from Worms. All the crew died. They were: Flying Officer E Westgate, Sergeant R A Fisher, Flight Sergeant W Taylor, Flight Sergeant W H Thompson, Sergeant R W Randall, Sergeant J C Murphy and Sergeant H Gee.
