Those who Fell in WW1
 
HODGSON, Percy
Private, 10th (Service) Battalion, The Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment), 69 Brigade, 23rd Division.  Army no 13771.
He died from his wounds on Friday 13 October 1916. He had probably been wounded on the Somme battlefields. He was 31.
He was the son of Thomas and Mary J Hodgson, Tosside, Long Preston.
He is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres.
 
INGLEBY, Thomas
Private, 8th (Service) Battalion, The Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment), 32 Brigade, 11th Division.  Army no 17670.
He died from his wounds on Monday 30 April 1917 probably in the Casualty Clearing Station in Grevillers. He was 21
He was the son of Adam and Mary J Ingleby, Skipton.
He is buried in Grevillers British Cemetery.

SIMPSON, Marmaduke
Driver, Royal Army Service Corps T/821168
He died on Sunday 2 March 1941. His death is in the civilian registrations in St Albans which implies that he had been discharged from the Army.  He was 27.
He was the son of Joseph and Alice Simpson, Arncliffe.
He is buried in the churchyard of St. Oswald’s Church, Arncliffe and his headstone is inscribed Into Thy Hands.
