He was the son of Frans and Louise Mertens; husband of Norah Mertens (nee Brunt), of North Cray, Sidcup, Kent.
He is buried in the family vault in the south-east of Liedekerke Communal Cemetery, Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium
Donald Philip Glyn MILLER
Warrant Officer (Observer), 320 (Dutch) Squadron, Royal Air Force RAFVR no. 1256688.
He died on active service on 16 February 1945. He was 24.
He was the son of David and Cordelia Mary Miller of Cardiff
He is buried in plot RR grave 33 Woensel General Cemetery, Eindhoven, Netherlands

He was killed on Mitchell II, FR145, Coded P when the a/c was hit by Flak at Weeze. The aircraft survived, damaged, but he did not. At the time they were based at Melsbroek (one of a group of airfields NE of Brussels)

He is remembered on panel 133 of the Runnymede Memorial

Mitchell FR 174 K was on a mission to Cherbourg when she was hit by flak and crashed. There were no survivors
